Microsoft’s View on The Future [Video]

This is an interesting video on The Next Web, where everything is done digitally, as seen by Microsoft. Kurt DelBene, President of the Microsoft Office Division stated:  “People often ask me what Microsoft’s view is on the future of productivity. I think one of the best ways to answer a question like that is to show our vision by sharing a new concept video.” The film is said to “help tell the story we see unfolding in technology, and how it will impact our lives in the future. The video shows our vision for a future where technology extends and highlights our productive capabilities; it helps us manage our time better, focus our attention on the most important things, and foster meaningful connections with the people we care about”. This is idea of a digitalized world that jumps for ahead. via

Bertil Harström

This concept is based upon the contrast between exterior and interior. From the outside it appears as a big nest, only the scale separating it from other nests in the vicinity. Discreet windows are almost hidden by the network of branches.

Inside it’s a high standard room with modern design. A coachwork panel decorates the inner wall. There is space and beds for a family with two children. The bedroom is a separate room with sliding doors. You access the nest by a retractable staircase.

Year built: 2010
Architect: Inredningsgruppen | Bertil Harström
Number of beds: Four beds (one double bed and two single child beds)

Modern Indonesian Houses - A Beautiful Balance

This modern Indonesia house was designed by architectural firm TWS & Partners. This a beautiful balance of natural and man-made, inside and outside the home, public and private spaces. Surrounded by lush, tropical forest, Tiki-chic cottage home features a roof tile Terra Cotta and overlay window is closed, for an authentic flair and function. Contemporary style home offers an asymmetrical silhouette with two volumes of the main living space. This sweet balance of backward social spaces, such as a large living area open concept main floor and upstairs private bedroom. Home page plan was to use the stairs to connect the separate volume home without sacrificing privacy and luxury villas to feel wanted. Sheltered outdoor living space provides a beautiful, open space where to enjoy the outdoors in all weather. And strengthen connections with the natural homes, materials such as wood (recycled, of course) and exposed concrete are simple and easy.
